I couldn't offer my mess to Jesus. Or could I?
God can use even the most disappointing circumstances to shape and mold us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
We try to keep people at a distance because we don't want them to see how messy we can be. Here's a better plan.
These lies continue to mislead the church and keep people from properly viewing mental illness as what it is.
To reverse what we've already set in motion, we have to reprogram ourselves for life and not death, for blessings and not curses (Deut. 30:19).
Don't take a shortcut on the journey.
"Did lies erase your faith? Did you overlook My grace?"
In that moment, the Holy Spirit has an opportunity to equip us to respond with love, grace and humility.
Now, this one will make people angry.
You watched them fall in love and get married. Now get the real story behind their romance.
"One percent of the abortion workers in the United States, after getting one look at them being portrayed on film ... have decided to change their lives ... and what they do for a living."
If we argue that a certain disposition or feeling or attraction or desire must be attributed to God because it is so deep-seated, we open a Pandora's box of confusion.
Jones says viewers will hear the word "God" a lot on the show, because nine times out of 10, the participants on both sides of the bars are believers who have seriously grappled with the biblical mandate of forgiveness.
"I have my Christian values. My family and I have a view of marriage that's informed by our faith. And we stand by that. But that doesn't mean that we're critical of anyone else who has a different point of view."

That is a very ominous verse, and it comes in the context of an entire chapter in which Jeremiah is warning the people of Jerusalem that judgment is coming because they have violated their covenant with God.
"They will keep upgrading this number until it becomes micro-chip that will be implanted on people's hands or forehead. We do not need to worry for now, but when they start fixing it on the people's foreheads that's the time to rise up."
