It's evident that the spiritual climate has intensified, and if a Christian is to truly overcome, then our foundation must be solidified in the truth of God's Word.
What does God's Word have to say about the battles we will undoubtedly face?
Second Corinthians 2:14 (NIV) states: "But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere."
Always is the key word in this verse.

As I read and understand, it quickly becomes clear that God never leads His people into defeat; yet despite the promises of victory, too many believers seem to be living in continual defeat and are under the false assumption that failure is their portion. However, defeat is not an option. We are promised uncompromised victory in every circumstance and in every battle, so why then have so many experienced defeat? What gives?
Ask yourself, "How have I been defeated?"
Countless believers are living in despair and are overcome by life. Marriages have crumbled, finances have dried up and the miracle you hoped for never arrived. You're left feeling defeated, but is that truly defeat?
Too many Christians willingly accept negative outcomes with no questions asked. What would have happened had you rejected that outcome and, by faith, held on for heaven's outcome? Perhaps you did? The truth is, many of us never taste the deeper, heavenly reality because our present realities are very difficult to navigate through.
I am convinced though that pushback ought to be the trigger for us to push forward.
If defeat for many appears to be unmet expectations, what does victory look like?
Is it the resolution you pictured? Is it that person coming to you and apologizing? Perhaps victory is the favorable result you were waiting on? What if your expectation is not the proper way to measure victory or defeat?
Many of us are walking in victory but cannot recognize it because our paradigm doesn't match the biblical narrative.
